I found the Metallo figure from the Batman/Superman Public Enemies line at the toy flea market I frequent. My favourite look for Metallo is the Superman: The Animated Series one, where there's synthetic skin flaking off his endoskeleton but there's enough to make him look different from a Terminator. I liked the way the figure looked apart from the giant excavator arm and the awkward, legs-apart stance. I couldn't really fix the pose but I decided to get rid of the excavator arm and used an arm from the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides build-a-figure Gunner. I did a good deal of dremelling and realised that the drastically different skin tones resulted in lots of paint rub, so I'm just not moving that arm. Sculpted some skin onto the face (the figure came with a removable face but that wasn't included when I bought it loose.) Thanks for looking!
