Man- I'm stealing the hell out of this idea!
Really smart way to make Beetle and it keeps the look of a man in armor too!
I think the only part worth changing is the upper legs, which are distinctive to the Extremis suit and really attach oddly at the hips on this fig.
As to the back, just get a plastic spoon and split it vertically- you can make the halves swivel on pegs drilled into the back (like the Wasp's wings).
Just use clear styrene for the wings themselves- you can tint them yellow.

I agree that the upper legs attach with less movement and not as fastened as in other figures...I'm not a specialist in disassembling yet, guess don't have the time or patience to do it when it comes to knee joints, but there you have it...one thing I thought about this armour as a whole is that it is insect-like...thank YOU for the cool tip and comment!!

Awesome! Makes me wish I had done my MU Beetle in the classic colors, but I chose to try to mimic the recent Legends one. I used the exact same base figure for mine as well
