Made from a Hulkling plus sculpting. Mr. Clean is just what the name implies, the final solution when the US Government has no other option. Beyond his acting career, Mr. Clean has seen battle in every conflict since the World War One. He trained Captain America to use his abilities, and fought beside him many times. Although he is well over 100 years old, he is still going strong other than a few liver spots and occasional berserker soap eating compulsions. His custom, self-built shotgun is 2 gauge and throws half-pound slugs. He likes puppies and knitting, hates velcro, and his mortal enemies are Goth-Boy and DirtyGirl. He is also glow in the dark, sorry, the camera would not take a picture of it at all. Hope you like!

Great Job on this, and awesome idea! Genuine creativity does not always equal fair recognition. I think a lot of great pieces on here slip through the cracks as far as being noticed just because there are so many being posted so often. Don't let this not winning get ya down! Do what ya like your own way because in the end, that is what will make you happy and the joy put into your own work will show. Keep up the Great work!

Thanks for the comments! Really appreciate the constructive criticism, Patraw. I added the extra bulk and the t-shirt sculpt with PC Marine epoxy, the head was sculpey from scratch. I only put glow in the dark paint on the white parts, probably a mistake on that, but it would have radically altered the coloration of the flesh-tones and also made things really glossy. Hoped that the head-sculpt would get me a little bit better ratings, also the figure was precisely scaled to 6'8" as per reference photos. Thanks again guys!

I have researched past contests quite a bit, and far better makers than me have entered many times and never won. My personal opinion is that my 2.5 and 3 star ratings on Mr. clean and the Noid are a bit high if the other entries scored in the upper 3 star range, my skills really do not compare yet to masters of this artform. Truthfully I am very very proud of Mr. Clean's headsculpt and disappointed that my photo skills did not do this part of the piece proper justice. Looks really good in person, detailed it down to character lines, smile lines, crowfeet around the eyes, bad painting though

Nice contest entry DrChops! The story you came up with is very creative, the custom looks good too, and the glow in the dark paint, genius!

What a cool custom of Mr Clean! Love the glow-in-the-dark effect! I also really enjoyed the bio you created for him…very enjoyable!

The figure itself looks pretty good; the Hulking base body has suitable bulk/musculature and you did a good job on his bald dome and bushy eyebrows. The glow-in-the-dark paint was an interesting choice, although, because of the spotty coverage, I have to say it makes him look like he's been covered in germs (maybe Mr. Clean isn't anywhere near as sanitary as he claims to be?)

I'm just not feeling the shotgun accessory for him though. If you had modified it so that it shot sponges or something, that'd be more in keeping with the character's persona. The mop and bucket that the other Mr. Clean custom entry has are much more appropriate choices.

Overall, this is a solid piece, but I'm afriad I have to give the nod, and the extra star, to the other Mr. Clean custom over yours.
