B0baFett - All I do is give the figure a nice warm soak in warm soapy water and leave that for about 10 min. Take the figure out and give him/her a really good dry especially in all those nooks and crannies.

Once completely dry I just start painting straight over the factory paint work and you'll straight away know if you have to strip the factory paint especially on the face as the detail won't show thru. But in this case there was no need to strip off the factory paint.

I used vallejo paint and GW paints to do him and also a wash of burnt sienna to highlight the facial features. Hope this helps and with you need any other advise just drop me an email via my website.

Would you be able to explain the process of how you repaint the figure? Do you completely prime and start anew or do you just simply reapply the colors over the existing?

wow. the headsculpt is really nice under Hasbro's bad paint! Great job with the repaint! It really brings out all the great detail.
