Inspired by the statue by Jonathan Matthews, this Joker comes alive with the help of multiple points of articulation. The body was put together from several figure parts, using elbows and knee joints and even the bare feet, from a Baki the Grappler, has some cool articulation to it. Used the ankle of a Spider-man figure for the neck, enabling the head to pivot back and forth, side to side in a muppet sort of way. The straight-jacket was made from vinyl (cut from table cloth material), modified to fit over top and painted in acrylics. Sculpting with apoxie was done on the hair, the eye & nose, and also used to widen the grimace on the Capt. Hook head. Additional sculpt work was done throughout the body and on the fingers as well.
The Joker has been portrayed as a clown for so long now, it almost slips our mind that at the end of the day, he's still a lunatic in the body of a maniac. All that head posturing shows his playful side, and that's fine - he enjoys his criminal spree (maybe a little too much). But all that happy gas got to his noggin' a long time ago, and that makes for one ready-to-detonate, homicidal green-haired buckaroo! Fortunately this figure doesn't have one of them buttons to press that activates his hysterical laughing fits. No way, that would start getting into Chucky territory. Would definitely have to take a nine iron to it then!

Thought I'd finally get around to commenting on this positively beautiful figure. I'm serious Joe, you really need to go to work for the DC direct guys, or Mattel even. Your ideas man...they would bring on the next golden age of action figures!!!
