Hey all! First--hat's off to Toymancustoms' Sanny Blanca for doing a version of Lex that I think is TOP SHELF. Also thanks to Banner/HULK Inc for the base idea. So first, I took him apart and pulled out all the battery/electronics suite, since it was old and unecessary. Next, I had to pop off that Beetle helmet. Not particularly fun, but now I have a cool helmet base for something else. Once I did that, I saw there was actually a face under there. I sculpted over it to give it ears and some uniformity. For the body, I sculpted a LOT on this dude. His entire torso was done in several layers; the forearms, upper and lower back, crotch, legs, and boots. Lastly, I used two pieces of armiture from a Matrix Revolutions mech at the shoulders. the purple forearm 'hook-shaped' arm guard attachments were a piece of a coat from a HUSH DC Direct figure, painted. This way, the piece is thin like it's supposed to be, but flexible and so it won't crack off. Paint and done! He is just the right height over the DCUC/ML scale figures and fits in great with the rest of the DC Injustice crew. Thanks for looking--critiques always welcome! Love the work I'm seeing from everyone!! - Fitz ![]() |
