Helmet – ARAH Capt. Grid Iron Head and vest – Retaliation Flint Torso and upper arms – 25th G.I. Joe Trooper Lower arms and legs – ROC Thunderblast Capt. Grid Iron was one of those figures I dream of customizing when I started with the hobby. I never had the ARAH figure. He was one of the characters I really love seeing in action in the DiC series. Now I finally have my very own Capt. Grid Iron figure. Hope you like it!  |

Captain Grid Iron was always one of my favorite Joes as well (and that's really saying something in my case, because I dislike the sport of football). I did own the original back in the day, but I sold him to my younger brother, when I got older, and what happened to him after that, I'll never know. A lot of people seem to hate on Grid Iron these days, but I think he's one of the most creative and well designed figures Hasbro ever made for the franchise.
I like the sport, but I could understand why plenty of people seem to hate Grid Iron. I just really loved the character when I was a kid.
