Looking at the fodder box. What JLU collector doesn't have too many extra Wonder Woman's & Superman's? It was time to make use of some of them.
Lois was made using a JLU Wonder Woman figure as the base. The figure's details were ground down. I also cut the legs & slpiced them back together to make Lois shorter than Wonder Woman. After all Lois is not an Amazon. Then I sculpted Lois' head including the knotch on the back so the hair would fit perfectly. I used the hair from the Wonder Woman figure but ground & cut it. But I wanted the stability the rubber added & be able to remove it for painting purposes. To give it Lois' hair style, I sculpted over it with kneadatite. Normally I just use apoxie for everything, but I wanted the hair to have some flexability. Then I sculpted over the Wonder Woman figure with apoxie. The skirt came from a mattel JLU Supergirl figure. I ground down the top so that I could sculpt her suit jacket over it & the jacket wouldn't be so bulky. She was a tough custom to make & a lot of work went into this.
Superman was made from the upper body of a mattel JLU Superman, the legs of a mattel TNBA Batman, & A Kenner STAS head. The legs were boiled & popped from a the mattel Batman. Then the knubs were cut down a bit & inserted into the mattel Superman Groin. The boot tops were cut & resculpted to resemble Superman's. The entire figure was repainted.
You did a really nice job on converting Wonder Woman into animated Lois; she looks great and screen accurate. Supes is nice too, but it's hard to get excited about a "plain" Superman, when he's been done to death. Even so, I appreciate that you went to the effort of cobbling him together from different parts when you could have taken the easy route and just repainted an existing one.
