"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and...bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant." - The Doctor Hello everyone! Another Doctor who custom which i am excited to share is my plastic version of Matt Smith in his most recent portrayal as the Doctor. Im not gonna lie, Matt Smith wasn't my favorite incarnation of the doctor but i was still very sad to see him leave the show. I much preferred his portrayal of the doctor later on when he met Clara rather than him with his time with the Amy and Rory (no offense to the Ponds), the Doctor just seemed more grown up. Haha ok enough of me and my weird obsession of Doctor Who, this version of the doctor was made using the MM Joker as the base with the head, hands and bow tie (Because they're cool) of the original 11th Doctor figure (haha feel free to find the DW reference). Like my 10th doctor figure i had to majorly shave down the neck and resculpt it so the head would fit properly. I trimmed down the jokers coat and i also splices his biceps and added articulation. Oh and i made him his psychic paper out of some construction paper (I'll most likely redo that if/when i do another doctor custom). Lastly i also resculpted his hair which was a fun process. I think thats pretty much it, one paint job later and he was finished! Hope you all enjoy! Oh yeah, i didn't have the 11th Doctor's T.A.R.D.I.S. (the police box thing) so i had to improvise and use the previous version and just add the St. John's emblem (was to lazy to tint the windows). ![]() |

It took quite a bit of tampering to make the 5 inch scale head look proportionate to a 6 inch body
AND HOLY CRAP MAN! I just saw it and you killed it with the fabric jacket.
I really wish I had your sculpting abilities!
You just got yourself another fb friend and another follower on the realm haha
This is fine work, I 've never attempted to mix scales myself! Well done!
Thank you very much for the compliment Captain Jack!
You should try to mix scales some time, the figure now is taller than the usual DW figures and I can now have the doctor hang around with my Marvel legends figures (although a wee bit smaller than ML) haha
And this figure really looks great. I like how the articulation is better than the Doctor Who figures I have seen thus far from common producers. One can easily tell who it is, and I like that. I don't like when a face looks nothing like the character it is supposed to be - it breaks the entire image. You've done great!
I miss Matt Smith too, he filled in the role quite well even though it took me a while to get used to him haha.
I plan on doing more Doctor Who customs once the new series comes out. I don't plan on buying the new 3 3/4 inch line of DW figures because I really think the doctor needs a big scale
Well when I put the head on for the first time it was really off scale, so I sanded down the neck and resculpted it to look more proportional which helped. Most of the problem was in the coat, so I trimmed it down all over and shaved down some of the inside so that it would be thinner and not look so puffy. Haha I hope that made sense.
I really loved that episode too! It was such a heartwarming episode!
R2D2 pic lol. Doctor Who can go to whatever universe he wants I love it.
Haha yeah, I figured he'd have to run into someone from Star Wars EVENTUALLY
