This is more of a modification. Body is from the EP1 holographic Sidious (painted black) and the head is a senator palpatine from the same line. Hood from the VC Sidous.

I still liked the sculpted robes of the old '99 Sidious more than the softgood of the recent VC Sidious...however, that old figure used a soft plastic robe with these long slits on the side (to allow them slip the arms through when assembling it). Also it was very hard to stand straight since the legs were just slightly longer than the robe, and it would lean to one side. Hasbro made this figure as a translucent hologram, and since it was sculpted with a solid body, that took care of both those problems. As for the head, I wanted a better option so I could use the excellent hood from the VC version, and found it logical to go with a head from senator version of the character. It fit perfectly over the neck peg, but unfortunately I had to shave the head down so the hood would sit flush with the body.
