X3 Storm with Fabric Cape. Been wanting to do a movie-accurate Storm with similar pose-ability to the rest of the movie line for a while, and finally found the base figure. First I cut down the original figure's hair, then carved the zipper and piping detail of the suit. Next I molded the shoulder pads, hip pads, gloves, belt, and "x". Painted the whole suit jet black, then dry-brushed a matte black to make the details pop. Went back in with the jet black for the little suit details, and then metallic silver for the piping. While that was drying I cut the cape out of metallic silver mesh material, then molded the hair. The hair was painted grey, then dry brushed white to give depth, then the eyes were painted white. Lastly the cape was glued into place, and there you have it. I'm very happy to now have a movie accurate Storm that fits in scale and articulation with the other X-Men figures ![]() |
