Here is good old Merle as seen in Episode 2, before he did the old slice and dice of the hand. I used the series 3 Merle & Daryl 2 pack for this Merle. I took the arms from the Daryl figure and the rest is Merle. The vest is from the comic governor figure and the rifle is Andreas. I cut the bottom piece off his shirt and also cut the top to make it look ripped like in the show. I epoxied the ripped pieces onto the shirt and painted it. I cut the knife, gun and other things off his pants. I put epoxy on his pants to make them look more like jeans and painted them light blue, then put some white and black on for fading and dirt. I then put the wristband on his wrist. Then came the vest. I painted it black and cut the sides, drilled some holes and put the rope that keeps it tied on the sides. I also painted the back of his head to make it look like he had less hair and then slapped on his belt buckle. Lastly I threw the rifle in his hand and there’s Merle.
I’m not super happy with the pants but they are passable I think. Overall the figure turned out better then I thought it would.
