Either the flash from your camera, your external light source, or both, is too bright, which is washing out your figures (you can barely make out the facial features on the characters' heads). In the future, you might want to try experimenting with some other kinds of lighting arrangements to better showcase your work.
This pair is okay, but they lack any "oomph". The addition of more unique costume details, accessories, or a base/diorama environment are all things that you could try to spice things up a bit.
