In my alternate universe I imagined that the Emperor heard strange stories of an alien parasite that was capable of destroying entire worlds. Hoping to use the creatures as a weapon against the Jedi he sent his apprentice Darth Maul to investigate. Unfortunately things did not go as planned. Now the flood had a force capable, light saber wielding harbinger of death...
I started by taking Maul apart and carving out most of his upper body. I cut the left arm and upper body off of the Flood and combined the two. Sculpted around the Maul head and lower jaw, as well as the torn cloth around the flood parts. I also switched out the hand on the flood arm with a Venom hand, I thought it looked better and the flood hand was a little small. Gave all of the added parts a coat of black and then dry brushed on several layers of color. I also repainted the red on Mauls head, the original was very light.
Hey Realmers! I was able to acquire this beauty two months ago and I just gotta say that mr. vader delivered! What a TWISTED masterpiece it is....even more so in person! THANKS, brother!

This is a really cool idea and I think that you executed the combined anatomy well. However, I feel that your design would have "popped" more visually if you have done the Flood components in lighter hues that would have contrasted more with Maul's black Sith robes--as it is, there's just too much dark coloration going on at once.

I agree a bit with Patraw, but still a very nice piece!
