“Cross the rainbow bridge of Asgard, where the booming heavens roar. You’ll behold in breathless wonder, the God of Thunder, Mighty Thor.” Need I say more? We all know the God of Thunder from the myths of the Vikings. His name gave us Thursday (Thor’s Day) and he’s an icon in Marvel comics. He’s had many different body armor designs throughout the years. I call this one the Armor of Might. It’s a Warcraft Thrall figure and hammer with a Toy Biz Thor head. The head modifications include more protection on the forehead, nose and sides, which were all put together with thin cardboard. The beard and braided hair are made from foam, but that’s still Thor’s face under all that. The cape is from the Hasbro Thor. I repainted the armor blue and painted flesh on the skin. Thanks to VJ, who made the modification on the helmet for me on that Marvel Legends Thor figure when it first came out over a decade ago! I’ve always wanted to have an armored Thor, so I finally made one that I like. Hope you all like it too. Thank you to all who voted during the Mythic Might customs contest. ![]() |
