This custom came about at the last possible minute. It was originally planned to be an X-Force repaint of his costume. Just as I was going to start painting him, I saw a post in a Marvel group on Facebook that an actual retail version of the X-Force look was hitting stores. Switching gears, I decided that Nightcrawler's swashbuckling look (seen in his solo miniseries and recently as bonus for the online Avengers game) was more fun. His belt and sash are from GI Joe figures, his bootcuffs and sword are from (fittingly so) Pirates of the Caribbean figures. His headband is custom sculpted. His base actually flashes and can be displayed two ways: teleporting "mid-air" (with the help of a clear stand)and up from the ground.
