Get Over Here!! Scorpion from the 1995 Mortal Kombat film. Head: Alias figure Headcast Body: Wire Armature Hands: From the bin/cast Feet: Cast blanks Sculpt: Used a 50/50 mixture of Super Sculpey / Sculpey Firm and Aves Apoxie Sculpt Constructed wire armature. Packed on the Sculpey/Firm clay and roughed out the anatomy. Sculpted the body under-suit details. Then I cast the head, L-hand and feet from molds I have and attached them. His R-hand is from a wrestling figure that happened to be positioned perfectly. Once all was attached, his hood, mask, tunic and forearm pads were sculpted with Aves. Also used Aves on some touch up spots as I went along. Harpoon creature was made out of a paper clip, bent to shape and thin craft wire wound around it. Sculpted the head out of Aves and used tiny plastic beads for the eyes. Sanded the trouble spots and threw some paint on this guy. I forgot how much fun painting yellow is. But yeah, tried to capture an intimidating pose of Scorpion, walking into the arena, showing you what you’re in for. ![]() |
