I always thought Firelord looked really cool. I think I first came across him in a Thor comic where he and Herc were watching over Jane Foster I think, while Thor fought Absorbing Man down in the street. Though Firelord had only a couple of panels in that comic and none of it action, I immediately liked the character. I was very excited when he showed up in that one X-men issue and fought Phoenix. I got disappointed that it didn't go further than that.

Anyway, this is my second go at a custom of him. The first time was done almost 10 years ago and was a bit crude by today's standards. I reused the head and staff's flames from that old custom for this, though I did add some more flames to the head this time around.
