2009 The Creech is a favorite of mine, and a lot of that comes from how great the 1998 McFarlane toy of it was from Spawn series 12. I went after that one almost immediately and repainted the maroons to reds, but eventually I hated the one pose it was stuck in, in large part because it was crouched over so low. Stand up Creech! It's hard to describe how much work went into just getting him to stand up. Yeah, I transplanted the War Hulk legs onto it, but there was a lot more that needed to be done, like keeping the ankle swivel but moving it halfway up the shin. Then grinding out the inside of the Creech's boots so they can pop on there, and still swivel the ankles so it can stand up straight, despite the way the feet were sculpted. And matching the weird sculpted texture of the green suit, and matching the weird green. Even getting the kneepads to match meant re-sculpting one. So when I say... Spawn series 12 Creech - upper body, boots War Hulk - lower body ...it was a lot more work than that implies. :p But whatever. What I got was a nice big Creech that still looks like the old toy I love, but can stand up and be the height it should be. Plus a huge boost in pose-ability. Whaddaya think? ![]() |
