This is a revisit on old tactics. I never was too hot about all the just short of perfect C-3PO's we've gotten over the years. All had their upsides but none of them had it all. I took a 4-Lombody and popped out the upper torso. I cracked it open to release the arms and shoulder caps and then took a C-3PO from the Ewok Throne issue and took his upper torso and head and sanded in the shoulders a little bit to attempt to make him a little narrower. I made gaskets out of tiny rings of hot glue to retain articulation and popped them into socket. It was quite the easy paint job since It was all or nothing with the chome gold. All in all I am pleased with my own version. I'm sure we'll see SOME improvement in the new Black Series line. Just don't give me removable face and chest plates... why? Please wait... |

I feel the same way about that tired old 3PO sculpt, and I'm not crazy about the swivel shoulders on a B.A.D. sculpt.
I just happen to have gotten an extra 4-LOM in a trade. I've gotta try this technique.

Do you think this will work with the B.A.D. protocol droid sculpt Hasbro will be releasing in TBS?
