I tried to emulate Billmaru's "Steampunk Nightcrawler" the best I could, pretty much using the same base figure. Whereas his Nightcrawler had a large assortment of weapons, mine has a staff/tool with some gears on the end. I picture my Nightcrawler working in a clock tower, staying out of sight. I did give him an armor-covered prehensile tail which could be used as a weapon. Recipe: Head: DCU Modern Starman, with sculpted ears and glitter gold paint on the goggles Base: X-2 Nightcrawler Tail: Doc Ock tentacle trimmed to fit, with melted plastic to make the point of the tail Necklace: An hour hand from a watch (glows in the dark) Leg band: Apoxie sculpt with watch gears embedded in them (I did have the minute and second hands [which looked like knives] embedded in the leg band, but they ended up breaking) Staff: Starman staff with the head piece cut off and replaced with gears from a clock The hardest part was trying to make the pinstripes look half-way decent. I used the original stripes on the base figure as a guide to help me. I don't think I have ever used so much silver, gold, and brass paint on a figure before. I hope you guys like the figure as much as I enjoyed making him and thank you Billmaru for the inspiration. ![]() |

On a side note, the camera really picked up the clear red on the jacket; it looks more "pinkish" in natural light and looks a little like the smoke effect when he teleports, which is what I was going for.
