I absolutely love the DC Direct New 52 Wonder Woman sculpt: it really gives her a certain sense of physical power, and emphasises her status as *the* superheroine, as compared to say, the relatively weedy standard DCUC female build. I thus decided to give her a do-over to resemble the first Wonder Woman custom I did, with leggings added and the gold details restored. The leggings are the exact same shade of navy blue used on the other figure, and the silver stickers were even from the same sheet! Her boots were painted red for better contrast against the blue leggings, and the bodice was given a brighter coat of red-metallic red paint. All sculpting and dremelling, including the new belt and giving the bodice a higher back (to better guard against backstabbers), as well as removing the choker and armband, was done by JeddTheJedi - the usual thanks to him. The re-sculpted belt and tiara were painted gold, as per Wonder Woman's classic color scheme. Finally, I added straps to the bodice using brown duct tape. After my experiences with painting skin tones on the other Wonder Woman figure and contest Steve Trevor, I think I managed to get a pretty good blend and application here; this was done to make her skin tone look a little closer to how it appears in her current solo title. Thanks for viewing, comments and feedback are much appreciated! ![]() |
