During the 80's George Perez redesigned Zatanna's ugly threads (the ones that looked like Power Girl) & gave it a more heroic version. Was pretty cool by the time but still something was not right. Might it be the ugly thing on her head & those big earings? I think those were the problems! Good thing the New 52 Zatanna has a darker costume similar to this one but without the jewelry.
