Kenner gave it a valiant effort with BTAS Scarecrow, Unfortunately they fell a little short. Kenner felt they needed to put action features with most of the figures in the BTAS line. Which was fine unless it hindered the sculpt. That was the case with Professor Crane here. His arms were just too long & in awkward poses due to the spinning feature. Although the translucent eyes that the light shines through is a cool feature. I would much rather see it on a Transformer toy than the BTAS Scarecrow. The way his eyes are designed in the show is the reason why he looks creepy IMO.

First thing I did was grind the eye sockets. I felt they needed to be bigger than they were originally. Then I filled them in so they were no longer transparent. Cutting the arms was a bit tricky. The left was not a problem, just a slice with an x-acto knife. But the right one was hard plastic & had a spring & a rod in it. I pretty much almost destroyed it. Luckily I saved it somehow & was able to glue all the pieces back together. I also wanted to get rid of the wheel in his back. I just popped it out with a small screwdriver. I basically then just shortened & rebuilt his arms & filled in the huge hole in his back from the now absent action feature wheel. Then I repainted the figure.
