Hello Realmers :).

Last week I went to the movies to see "Pacific Rim" and must say i really LOVED IT.

After the movie had ended my wife and I were talking about how much we liked it and how Del Toro paid tribute to the old "mechas" cartoons (sorry but in the 80's we didn't know the word "anime"), such as Mazinger Z, Voltron, Robotech, etc.

So, soon after we came back home I started to working a "Koji Kabuto", the young boy who used to pilot the "pilder" to take control on Mazinger Z. Note apart would like to tell you that Mazinger Z is a such beloved character in México.

As some of you may know, the Mattel WWE action figures are the most common base I use for my customs, but this kind of figure just doesn't fit for a custom figure based on an anime character, so I decided to use a Saint Seiya Myth Clothe figure which I bought some time ago in a clearance sale.

Now on the custom.

Body and head came from a Grand Pope (Saint Seiya Myth Clothe), feet came from a ML Human Torch (the same who donated his head to my XIX Century Wolverine).

All costume details were sculpted with epoxic clay.
I gave Koji two heads, one without helmet and one with helmet. Hair was sculpted on the first one and helmet was sculpted on the second one.

All painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a matte sealer.

Must say I'm so happy with the result, hope you like it as much as I enjoyed creating this.
