I started with an Ultron as my base figure. The horrible shoulder pads were replaced first. More tweeking fixed the sculpt up by filling in the shoulder areas and smoothing out the issues. Ultron has shading and highlights that were added to bring out his metalic look. He is chromed with drybrushing techiques and washes to make the sculpt pop more. He was then colored in a clear gold/yellow overlay that makes him bright metallic gold and not dull gold like most paints. I added the energy effect blast for his left hand. The blast is clear red energy that attaches to his left hand by hidden magnets. It is completely removable and gives him that extra accessory that the factory figure did not have. So far that was the same as my last one except its gold now. I wanted to top the last Ultron. So I gave him a fire bolt trailing fist. The energy effect is sculpted to fit over his hand only and shows how powerful he is in his current incarnation. Pretty simple but I really like how the clear paint looks. I may have do do a few different figures with it. ![]() |
