Hi. This is my first contribution here and also my first completed custom. Sandman is a key Spidey villain who has never received a decent 3.75 scale treatment (and no comic version love), despite being featured in a feature film! The base body is Drax the Destroyer from the GOTG 3-pack. The head is a Punisher (original mold) with sculpted hair and some carving of the facial features. The sand weapons use the hammer and ball from the 2.5 inch version of the Spiderman 3 Sandman as a base with additional sculpting for the spikes. The sand stand is sculpted from scratch, and is a clamshell design that the figure can be removed from (the goal is a "rising from the sand" effect). The sand effect was achieved by painting the pieces with a sand color, then sprinkling actual sand (fine grit diorama sand from a hobby shop for clean uniform-ish particles) onto the wet paint, letting it dry into place, painting a top coat of sand color, and then sealing it with dullcoat. The weapons are rotatable and removable, leaving open the possibility of more weapons in the future, like a fist or grasping hand.
