Hi everybody,

I wanted to do this for a while and was figuring out the parts for quite some time.

I had the idea by seeing the TV show where Atom Smasher was walking amongst the other JLA members in his normal size while not beeing in action. As there is only existing the DCUC BAF figure in 9 inch scale, it was about time to shrink him down to a 6 inch size to blend in with the other heroes.

I took:
the body from Omac,
the upper arms from Cyclotron and
the head of the golden age Atom.

Besides opening the figures to exchange upper arms I had to do some shaving on the wristbands and boots, followed by sanding the whole figure and sculpting the details. The belt gave me some headaches as it was important for me to keep the complete articulation (including waist articulation) and Apoxie Sculpt is everything but flexible.
Then I found a MOTU Fisto in my fodder and cuted his belt out of the figure which is soft and flexible. Cutted the belt into shape using the back part. Had to transfer Apoxit Sculpt on the belt in order to keep the articulation. Glued it to the figure carefully. Waist turning is no problem even thou I´m not completly satisfied with the look. A completly sculpted belt would look more like the original but I love posing my figures, so ... You can´t have it all.

Painted him from head to toe with washes and drybrush technics which was especialy necessary for the skinn parts.
The atomic symbol on the chest was handpainted as well. Don´t know if a decal would have made more sense, but as the lines are quite fine I decided to try my luck with a toothpick.

In the pictures I added also the BAF version for size comparison ... and for fun.
