Living deep in the darkest depths of the waters of Rodia, live a species never seen by the locals before; the Merfolk. Last summer I was sitting in my room wondering what it would be like if the Star Wars universe had mermaids. That's how this happened. I went to the local craft store with my mom to get some clays and paints. I took the figure that I thought would be best, Asajj Ventress, and sculpted her legs together as well as te fins on her arm and head. Waited about two days for the clay to completely dry, then began painting. I removed the belt that came with the figure and cut it shorter and gave it a different paint job.(I painted everything in regular acrylic paint.) Once the paint had dried I created the fin out of Bake and Bend Sculpey and painted it once it was baked and attached to the tail. I then covered mostly everything in superglue to give it a shiny and wet look. This proved to not be a good idea because the right arm and wrist of the figure became stuck. Keep in mind that this was my first custom figure (I was 13 when I made it). ![]() |
