Hi all, back again with my second custom attempt. This time it's Rose from the Street Fighter Alpha series. Main goal was to capture the original Alpha look and not SF4, both colour wise and having the scarf positioned up front instead of over the back. Not that I don't like the SF4 re-design but just always thought the Alpha version looked cooler/more cartoony. As far as the recipe goes, all credit goes to the originator(s) of choosing DC Universe Classic Raven as a base figure. I just copied their idea and added my own little spin on the figure. Very quickly I realized that using the stiff left over cape for the skirt was not going to look the way I wanted so I had to make it from a flexible material (a dark pink t-shirt, not mine I swear! ;) Once that was done I just matched up the colours as best as I could. Epoxied the hair and added more height to the heels. Made the belt from the left over cape and the buckle is a small round rubber band glued on. Repainted the figure and then hit a wall trying to come up with a proper looking scarf. I tried all kinds of ideas but the scarfs would not sit in place like I wanted. So I said screw this, I'll just make one from epoxy. Which is what I did, there's a thin wire running inside the scarf as well and the scarf is flexible enough to move and twist so I can change the poses somewhat. I suck at posing anyway so I've gone with a more neutral pose which is good enough for me. Far from perfect, but pretty happy with it overall. Here's the figure. Thanks for looking. ![]() |
