This is another scratch custom, I didn't really plan on it, but have been wanting to make a custom of the character for a long time and just ended up using parts I had on hand since I couldn't scrounge the needed ones together. I really wanted to use the MU Professor X as a base so he would be in scale with MU figures and have better articulation, but it proved too hard to get another one. The other problem is that obviously, I wanted to use a Harrison Ford head sculpt and it seems all the SW and Indy heads are just slightly smaller than MU scale. I wanted to use a Vintage Collection Han as the head but when I got a hold of the figure and put it on my collection Xavier to test out the combo, it was still way too small. I had a Deluxe Indy fig I had literally just bought for the Hat/Bag as fodder and figured I could use him. Very small scale sculpt work, I re-sculpted the hair after scalping him, and then added on the tie. The rest was just a new paint job. Added a holster and revolver from a Joe Trooper figure, it's not an exact match but the larger revolvers on the backpack are close enough to the Blade Runner pistol. The scale is so small I thought it would be too difficult to try and sculpt one that could fit in the holster. Overall I'm really pleased with the result, the color matching isn't exact and the tie is too small for the square pattern but I tried to approximate it as best I could. Please wait... |
