I thought I would try making a Deathstroke custom action figure for this contest having just gotten into the "Arrow" TV series. This isn't how the character exactly appears in the show as I wanted to try playing around with the design a little bit. I was also influenced by the way the character looks as "Slade" in the Teen Titans series. Deathstroke's original look is widely regarded as being a little silly, and there are many great customs on the realm that suggest a more serious appearance for the character, so this is following in those footsteps.

The base figure is a Young Justice Sportsmaster. I sculpted over the head, and sculpted the armour padding on his torso, right shoulder and shins, as well as the gauntlet on his right arm. The holster (I ripped out the pocket originally attached to the figure) and ammo bandolier are from a Dark Horse Martha Washington figure, both painted over. The sword is built from scratch, out of sheet plastic, card and the handle of an escrima stick from the pre-DCSH Nightwing. The gun is from a movie Tomb Raider figure. Everything was painted over.
