I started out with a Headless F-O Cap and a ML Series VIII Cap head. I wanted a Cap that was a little closer to the ML VIII Cap that the head came from. I had a Series III Daredevil that I pretty much hated because of his blah sculpt and poor articulation but he had boots and hands that would work pretty good for my Cap.
I cut the pegs off the boots and dremeld sockets in their place to keep the articulation for the lower leg swivel and crafted forearms out of scrap arms and putty to make the hands fit. I did manage to keep the mid forearm swivel as well.
I repainted the head to match the body. I painted the boots and gauntlets brown and added red details just to give the figure a little more color. I partially repainted tha arms, legs and torso to get rid of scuffs and blemishes and added the gray panels on the pants. I threw in a shield that I picked up with the head and well, there he is.
