Okay, here comes yet another figure in my collection of classic Pre-Crisis DC Universe figures, Major Sivana!

Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, arch-nemesis of Captain Marvel, hatches yet another brilliant plan to defeat the Big Red Cheese by using his super-science to steal the Powers of SHAZAM and transfer them to himself in DC Comics Presents Annual #3 (1984). During the course of his time using the Powers of SHAZAM, Sivana, wearing a green version of Captain Marvel’s costume, first calls himself “Captain Sivana”, and then later elevates his rank to “Major Sivana”, and battles not just the entire Marvel Family, but also the Supermen of Earths One and Two.

To do this figure, I took a DC Direct SHAZAM Series 1 Captain Marvel, Jr. figure, and after completely disassembling it, repainted all of the blue portions of the figure in green, and then gave it a coating in flat clear. Next, I did a full repaint of the red Captain Marvel, Jr. cape in white to match the cape worn by Sivana in the annual as Major Sivana, and then a coating in flat clear. Once the paint was dry, I reassembled the Captain Marvel, Jr. body (minus the head). Next, I added the head from a DC Direct SHAZAM Series 1 Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana using the boil and pop method. Lastly, I glued a new chest symbol to the figure (the symbol was made by hand at a larger size, and then photocopied and shrunk to proper size), and TA-DA...Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana as Major Sivana!!!!
