Custom marvel legends blade's whistler in a 6inch 1:12th scale.
blade's main weapon & arms supplier and maker, and his main backup(besides his sword that is).

i used a wolverine body.

i wanted a slightly younger more muscular frame so i chose wolverine as a perfect candidate. He seems like he has old man style muscles to me.
when i first purchased this figure it looked like it had great articulation. When i actually tried to move the joints after opening the base figure out of the package i realized that not only do the arms not swivel but the legs although they seem ball jointed, because of the factory sculpt had absolutely no range of motion. They could barely even move forward. What the deuce! The shoulders were a little better but still similar.

i pulled apart the figure. Each leg, each shoulder, each elbow and head.
i altered the head and cut it down to add the new whistler head which was dremeled and modified to fit with a full rotating range of motion but at the same time still fit snug and tight. The beard had to be resculpted as well as i did not want his beard to reach the floor.

i then made new joints for the elbow so now they not only bend but, yes, they now swivel 360degrees allowing him to hold weapons with two hands. A must since he uses shotguns a lot.

i then shaved down and remolded the hip entirely to the pockets and in the interior so the legs can actually move forward now which to my surprise they were unable to do before, then repainted in the same color so the interior matched the exterior. Also reworked the shoulders for increased range.

i opened up the original hand by cutting out each claw to open every finger and then opening up his palm so he can hold weapons and altering his thumb to make it a trigger finger. If you try this yourself be careful as cutting into a tiny item like that usually leads to some type of cut or injury so i dont recommend it.

added a few accessories like the all important leg brace and voila. Whistler

i have a few more shots of him but can't fit them so maybe i will rotate them in a few days or add them when i add his daughter and hannibal king up on the realm next week.

i hope you guys like.
let me know what you think.

Hey NeCrollector. Thanks for taking a look. I always loved the series but haven't had time yet to tackle every character. Thanks! At some point I want to make the Blood Pack
