Hello, Continuing (albeit slowly) my Wathcmen series, I have completed the Comedian. What a piece of work this guy was in the story, huh? Still, he was cool on many levels. So I sculpted the head (hair, mustache), his chest/torso armor, armor buckles, shin guards and knee pads. For his shoulder pads, the were from a Dark Knight Movie Masters Batman figure-I sculpted a star on one and the three-tiered, red and white striped armor plate on the other. I used black pleather staps, glued to the top of the shoulder, and then glued under the pad, same is with my last Freeze custom. This allows the shoulder pads free movement and doesn't restrict the arms at all. His belt and handgun came from a Battlestar Galactica figure, and the over the shoulder straps are the same strips that hold the pads on. His machine gun and riot gun are from the weapons bin. On his elbows, I took knee armor straps off a Ninja Gaiden figure (who has been turned into a Dark Knight for my Bank Robber Joker, you'll see him soon), and repurposed them as elbow pads. I sculpted a tiny disc and painted the happy face for his pin he wears. Critiques/comments always welcome!! - Fitz ![]() |

I love that shoulder pad idea using pleather straps. Genius!
my favourite comic book character and you did him wonderful justice.
I know the sculpt alone must have took a lot of work.
clean paint too.
