Well this has to have been one of the hardest customs I have done. Simply due to making a mask and all the painting. I am not one to do body repaints but I did this one. So here he is for your viewing pleasure. The 1st White Lantern, Sinestro!


Some would call it an easy custom and some would not.


Base Figure: DC Universe Classics White Lantern Hal Jordan
Head: DC Universe Classics Wave 20 Sinestro
Coloring: I decided to go with a darker skin tone than what Mattel tipically gives Sinestro. Blended some colors and painted his neck and face. Upper body and waist were covered in silver of course. Using scotch painters tape I managed to paint most of the black lines on his chest and back and then just peel away the tape. What was left I did by hand.
Mask: White sculpey painted with silver. Not the best sculpting job but it was my first attempt at putting a mask on someone. So I personally think I did a good job. Now whether I ever do it again is another story.
Ring: Sinestro wears his ring on his left hand so I chose to make him accurate. I cut his ring from his right hand and glued it to his left. Gave the ring a repaint with silver. I also sculpted a new finger for his right hand and repainted it.
Thoughts: As I stated above this guy was pretty hard with my limited customizing skills. I pushed myself to do it though.
