Today I Bring you SCORPION!! From Mortal Kombat

I will start off by saying that Scorpion is my Favorite Char from MK...SURPRISE!!!


Scorpion's UMK3/Trilogy costume is my FAVORITE look of him. From the time I chose him in UMK3 for SNES, to the time it was HELL defeating him and his nasty Kombos in both UMK3 and MK:Mythos Sub Zero. That costume has always screamed SCORPION! for me and he looks BADASS in it.

There aren't alot of guys who can look like a badass in yellow...in fact the only two I can think of is Scorpion and Bruce Lee.

Since his 'Ultimate' costume is his best appearance, I decided to make a custom figure of my FAV MK char in his PRIME!

As I was in the Dollar General Store some years ago, I spotted some toy ninjas for...a dollar. They were 5in' and different colors. Then IT hit me like Scorpion's Spear! and I said, I can make 5in' MK ninjas with these ordinary guys.

(I like 5in alot because most of my figures are 5in, only guys not 5 or in DCUCs, MLs, or DCdirect, but i don't have alot of those. I DO NOT like 4in and 3.75 inch figures)

I had them painted ALL black then, I pull out some cloth and foam sheets and cut up the ninja garments. put them on and I had Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile. I eventually went back and got more ninjas to make Ermac, Smoke, Noob, and even Rain...

Eventually, bought some of the 'Dollar tree' wrestling figures and switched out the arms of the ninjas since I didn't have any skin tone paint and the wrestlers' arms were molded and not painted skin tone. just for more accuracy. :)

I made them in their basic MK1 and MK2 designs and they remained that way for a while, but I wanted to try and make them in MK3.
It was a challenge...

But after some close study of costumes and motivation from playing UMK3 on the MK Arcade Klassics, I went ahead and made them.
i was quite pleased with the out come. I still really don't like Scorp's mask on this. It seems to big IMO, but when I get time, Ill sculpt another one.
