This is my movie concept version of Balder The Brave,brother of Thor,son of Odin,a character I hope we get to see in Thor:The Dark World.This figure was the first of the Asgardian customs I did,and one I could not get off my mind until I created him!I actually got out of bed and went to my garage/workshop in the middle of the night to lay out the items I needed to make him,and then spent the next full day working on him!LOTS of fine detail work on this one!Also,one of the first customs that I was really happy with,and actually still am.
I've learned that customizing is full of "happy accidents"!Sometimes it's best to follow your instincts and see where they take you!Most,if not all,of my customs evolve as I'm working on them,and may have differences from the source material,so my work reflects my interpretation of the characters.So,please remember,the figure may not look 100% like the comic or movie version,but I always do my best to capture the essence of the character.
Quite often I see other customizers figures and I'm in awe of their work and have to make one of my own!In those cases,I hope the original customizer realizes that imitation is the ultimate form of flattery,and I really am paying them a very sincere compliment.In cases where I know who the original customizer is,I will always give credit where it is due.
