Okay, I'm recognizing a trend here...my husband has been giving me ideas for custom repaints to work on and suddenly I realize that these are customs he has talked about doing himself, he just hasn't got around to them yet. This one was alot of fun though so hopefully he will keep tossing them at me. My husband helped me get the black lines on the abdomen and shoulders strait, and I thank him for that.

RECIPE: First I filled in the peg holes and primed this fellow in red Dupli-Color and repainted him with a mixture of Vallejo black model paint, assorted reds, and Citadel Enchanted Blue. For his face I mixed Citadel elf flesh and dwarf flesh until I got the shade that matched. Then I chromed up the helmet.

We had some plastic bugs from the Dollar Store on hand and I painted them up to use with Ant Man but didnt put them both in pictures together because the scale was off somewhat. For the ant, I primed him with black Dupli-Color and painted him with Vallejo black. For his eyes I used Liquid Leaf classic gold. I applied a purple-black was overall to give him more color.

The grasshopper was also primed with Dupli-Color and painted with a mixture of Vallejo and Citadel greens and yellows. A black wash was applied to several parts of her body as well.

For the base I used a platter from the Dollar Tree and primed it black. After that I put putty down to attach the pebbles, sand, moss and grass to. For the grass I hand painted each strand of Raphia from Flora Craft and glued it around the base. Everything was sealed with mod podge. Thanks for looking.
