Gea was a member of the Green Lantern Corps from planet Larrona in Space Sector 2095. He was present during the Sinestro Corps War and fought bravely defending Oa against the initial attack of the Yellow Lanterns. He later participates in battle during The Blackest Night to help fight off Nekron's attacking Black Lantern Corps. Gea was fatally injured on his home planet of Larrona by a massive explosion from a super-volcano. While attempting to divert the lava flow a new vent formed and almost completely covered him in yellow lava. Wounded and about to die, he recorded a message and requested that his ring find a suitable replacement Lantern to divert the lava away from any civilians. The ring searched for a replacement Lantern as was its prerogative. It found Faylori, a native of Larrona's moon, Varrnoa. Faylori received the ring and heard its message. She arrived in time to divert the lava flow and avoid any civilian casualties. Gea's body was covered in lava and thus destroyed. The super-volcano, now extinct was renamed Mount Gea in memory of his sacrifice. Gea is also memorialized in the Crypts of Oa and is regarded by many to be a legendary Green Lantern. I'm going to go a different route when giving the recipe to this one, usually I just list it all out. So I did this little Green Lantern just for fun. I had just finished a Red Lantern and I was still in a creative mood. I was tired of the usual base figure so I looked at B'DG and figured what the heck. The head and back piece is a Generator Rex Evo Alien. So what I did was pop off B'DG's head and tail. I then cut off the Evo's legs and dremeled a hole in the body of it. So the Evo was a pale yellow. I dry brushed it with some green just to give it more texture and because the solid pale color looked odd. Problem was the Evo had no eyes. So this was my first attempt at using krazy glue to make eyeballs. I used Tamiya Clear Green to color the eyeballs. I think I should have watered it down some because they came out darker than I expected. I plugged up B'DG's tail with sculpey and painted his butt green. I had planned on putting the Evo legs where the tail had been but it didn't want to stay on. So I glued it to his back instead. I think it adds to the alien look no matter where it is. I am unsure as to whether I like the outcome or not. Maybe that's why I chose to kill him in off in his back story. lol I do consider this a learning experience though. And every new experience helps me improve my skills. ![]() |

Very COOL, bro!
I think the EVO legs look better where you've placed them (higher on the back).
