I wanted to make a Batman that would be more realistic and have more articulation. I loved the colors of the series 7 Batman as the gray is a little lighter than the original figure. I really did not like the hands at all, so they were replaced with modified Captain America hands with fins from the original Batman figure. I wanted the figure to have more flexibility in the legs so I cut off the belt and replaced the front pouches with pouches from a Bullseye figure. I have to credit my girlfriend with some of the ideas behind this figure. This is the first Batman figure that I have made with a short cape but she posed the question, "If Batman had a long cape in real life, wouldn't he choke himself or trip himself if he took a step back in a fight?" It was an excellent point but the other challenge she presented was for a realistic figure, shouldn't I fill in the holes for the joints. So this was a first for me and I was pleased with the way that it turned out and the paint match on the gray. Let me know what you think. yeah, but those tips would also keep the cape dragging along behind him so it would be (nearly) impossible for him to trip. DORX UNITE!
Variable Penguin, the cape is wide, its just a bad pic. It actually wraps itself around the side of the figure, I took your ironing advice from Toy Soup so that it is actually wider than what it looks. I wish I would have put the pic from behind on instead. Oh well. But I do need to thank you VP because I would have never thought of the cape unless I took your advice, so thanks.
if you wire the cape with craft wire along its edges and hem it you can then pose the cape in any position
just a tip
but sweet custom dude

Great job, this is one of my favorite Bat-customs so far. And yeah, Bat's cape would probably more wide than long, long capes are impractical for crime-fighting.
