Mike Grell's Jon Sable: Freelance was one of my favorite comics from the 80's. The beautiful art, the James Bond type stories...in fact I think Jon Sable was one of the first Mature Title comics I ever read...which for its time was extremely well written. The fact Mike Grell wrote and drew almost every issue of the original run also use to amaze me. Anyway on to the figure.. This honestly was a quick kit bash but turn out well. A body from Dragon models...a customized Dragon head few epoxy sculpted areas and a total repaint and I had Jon's face looking right at me. The mask if you read the book was never a real mask...but ashes of his dead wife and children when he first wore this (battle mask) in Africa...and later black make up when he wore the outfit I have the figure wearing here. The black jumpsuit is after market along with the boots, belts (with gold round belt buckle, and holster, gloved hands painted and sealed. Also included his iconic modified broom handle Mauser pistol which is airbrushed but made of die cast metal. Very simple figure to make but a right off the page look and feel to the figure. Thanks for looking! Take Care - Jase
