In the future, there is only war.

Amongst the many battlefield weaponry, tanks are a commen sight, grinding their way across the field to inflict damage on the enemy. All are huge, tracked and provide heavy support. All are easily seen and primary targets... except for the Tau's Broadside.

To be fair, the Tau do have more recognisable tanks, but these two legged deathdealers have the advantage of being able to hide behind relatively small pieces of cover, emerging for a shot from their massively powerful Railguns and then ducking back into cover. The backup weapons of Missile pods allows them to fire into the air,then have them lock on to a designated target - often benefitting from a markerlight - and deliver pinpoint hits on chosen targets. Broadsides are highly dangerous, capable of taking out a tank with a single shot, and should never be taken for granted.

The following images are the only known closeups of a Broadside, taken by a tank lucky enough to have been able to charge one, shortly before it was noticed them and destroyed.
