I did one very similar, though I adjusted the paint and changed the cape. Definitely the direction Blake would have gone. I commend your work here.

Nice job, simple but I think this is the best Blake custom. The entire trilogy they made it a point that "Batman" isn't a person, he is a symbol. No matter what happens, the Batman will not be corrupted or tainted. He is the guardian of Gotham, they will ALWAYS need a "Batman". In the movies, Bruce always wanted the day when he could have given up "Batman". He felt so bad, that he quit being Batman for almost a decade and it was only Blake's passion and idea that there will always be a need for Batman that made Bruce put on the mask one last time. Blake isn't Grayson, he isn't the character "Robin". What happened in the comics when Bruce "died"...Robin took over as "Batman". And, that's what I think the movie was getting at. Blake is now "Batman".

YOU ABSOLUTELY GET IT!!! I have said almost 99% of what you just said to my friends over and over again but they just don't get it. Thanks for you comment and letting me know im not alone in the universe. lol

I just watched the movie, again, and I realized something else that strongly hints at Blake becoming the new Batman. When Blake enters the cave, he disrupts the bats. They swarm around him, and just like Bruce, Blake recoils and shields himself. But, he gathers his composure and rises, standing strongly and facing the bats. It's the same baptism that Bruce went through and, like Bruce, he embraces the bats and lets them join himself.

That was pretty symbolic. And, adds to the idea that Blake becomes the new Batman.

this would make the most sense, but I still think that bat man would never retire unless he was physically unable, just like Batman Beyond. they'd have to wrench the mantle from his cold dead hands,lol. no way he lives a peaceful life of leisure, batman is the real person, bruce wayne is just a mask he wears when he's not being the dark knight detective. anyways, looks good, nice work

I agree that the comics Bats would never retire, but this is the Nolan Universe and I get thats what was planned all along. Death or retirement. Im not saying I like it but I didn't hate the idea either.
