GrownNerd's recipe. I've never straight-up copied someone else's work but that Thing is perfect, and I wanted one. Shortening the legs was way harder than I thought it would be. I wanted to do what GrownNerd did and take those biker shorts off him and give him the short 60s briefs he should have, but it was hard to get the peg in the hip to go down into the thigh. I even had to remove some of the knee joint's insides to fit it all, but it does looks way cool like that and not taller than I think he should be. Took some of the plastic out from under the neck to improve range of motion in the head too. Took the sculpted "4" off the front and kept it, so it can be attached like you see it in the last group photo, then resculpted the front of the pants and belt. It just sticks on with a little removable booger glue dot like you see on direct mail. Really enjoy the improved articulation and still having the ML2 head that I love. Otherwise mostly a fun exercise in drybrushing. Pretty simple really but love the end result. ![]() |

I thought it was gonna be an easy project, but shortening the legs made it tough.
It was good fun though, and I'm glad you like it.
And thanks GrownNerd, for the recipe. It's a killer. I love this Thing now.
