The idea for this Predator came from seeing an episode of National Geographic that was elaborating on a "Blue Ringed Octopus". When I saw the color scheme on the octopus, I knew it would make a great idea for a Predator skin pattern. The octopus has yellowish brown rings with dark brown centers, and a vanilla skin color. When the octopus is enraged, or aggressive and attacks its prey, its rings light up an iridescent blue, similar to a light saber.
I purchased a broken Snake Predator figure, fixed his broken parts, swapped his dreads for a P1's dreads, added an elbow blade to his left gauntlet, repainted, and this is the final product. I know the eyes are hard to see in the photos, but they are there. They are tucked pretty far up under his brow.
This BEAUTY is even more AMAZING in person! I am honored to have him in my collection and I wanted to share with my fellow Realmers just how talented our boy, CYCLONE_06, is! The paint apps on this Predator are PERFECTION!
One of the best and original Predator customs I have seen in a loooong time. I'm a bit of a Preadtor snob lol! and have seen lot's of Predator customs that are just meh. This one though caught my attention, love the detail on the paint work! Nice job!
congrats on the bronze! This predator is really original in design and paint. In the future, make sure you don't post photos of any customs on other websites before the contest. It could result in a DQ. I'm not referring to this particular custom.
Thanks. I kinda figured out the posting of pics the last time, when the aqua pred got disqualified. I made sure not to show any of the 3 I entered anywhere this time until after the voting started.
Yea I got that now. Kinda seems pointless to have all these rules when there's really no prize. I had fun, and I'm grateful I got 3rd, but an actual prize would be cool.
They used to have prizes when DR. NIGHTMARE ran the show, I don't know what happened to him, he kinda fell off the scene here. It wouldn't be too hard to get prizes back, if each month maybe a member would like to sponsor the contest or something and provide the prize
