Robin (Movie Masters) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:41759
Name:Robin
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Movie Masters
Creator:Jin Saotome
Date Added:August 14, 2012
Base Figure:Spiderman 3 New Goblin
Height:6.00 inches
Robin John Blake is Gotham's newest protector and needed a new look now that he quit the force. This movie masters style design is something I came up with for his transition into a crime fighter. New sculpted mask and hair give him a more rugged look and the red/black outfit (sans yellow) was one of my favorite color schemes for Robin in the comic. I used the GCPD Blake head, Spiderman New Goblin 6" body, and various fodder parts to create him. A taster nightstick, riot shield, arm-mounted grappler, and bo-staff round out his weaponry. His red scarf-cape is removable and he turned out to be extremely articulated, able to do all sorts of martial arts poses.

The costume design is fantastic! Also the riot gear shield and nightstick were brilliant ideas for this Robin.

I'm not the biggest fan of what you did with the head but body and costume are inspired.

Of all the John Blake figures that keep popping up, I'd have to say that this is probably my favorite by far.

Darn Jin, always outdoing yourself. The John Blake head fits much better on the New Goblin body than on any of the actual Movie Masters Batsuit bodies, and the colour scheme is nice and dynamic, bringing to mind Tim Drake's outfit when he was Robin.
