Like most people, I was disappointed in the Mr. Freeze from the Batman Legacy line. Not only is this particular sculpt too Schwarzeneggerian, the ice cream color scheme was just bad. So I took that Mr. Freeze, got a junker DCSH Mr. Freeze and swapped the head, helmet and gun/backpack then repainted the whole thing using the character's design from Batman: The Animated Series as inspriation. I painted the suit a flat black and the armor bits metallic colors. I used a light blue for the parts I considered "power ports." I figured this suit of armor would need a lot of power to move, so I imagined parts of the suit lit up and I think the light blue really does the trick. I carried the paint scheme over to the gun and backpack and then painted all the ice parts black and then went over them again with a metallic pearl white. This really gave me the frosty effect I wanted. This is one of my favorite customs I've done so far!
