Hey all... I know, you're all sick of my obsession with Arkham City. Fear NOT: This should be my last Mr. Freeze. I decided I needed to redo my last one, because he wasn't large enough, and I learned a lot making that helmet. The goal was to get as much detail as possible and to creat the ultimate accessory: Nora. So this time around, I gotta larger figure to balance the scale he should have and made the helmet much more solid and game-like. Sculpted edges to the top and bottom of a piece of water bottle cut to shape. Then sculpted the top. Added piping from a GI Joe dart gun to make the tubes on the back and sculpted the tops bolts. I sculpted armour on top of the figures chest and added some hosing from a DC Direct parajump batman from the Hush line and fodder bin hoses. On his back, to get the metal prong like protrusions as in the game, I cut up the T-shaped dart peg into three descending sizes and glued and sculpted them in place. I sculpted his goggles and added bulk to his gun handle. For Nora, I sculpted over a Witchblade figure after gluing her limbs and locking the legs in place with glued cloth. It took several layers of sculpt. She is painted in washes of blue and white to give a frosted ice appearance. For the chamber, I found the PERFECT container: a plexiglass flashcard box with metal trim. It's freakin' perfect and looks great. Comments and critiques WELCOME, and thanks for looking! - Fitz ![]() |
